My name is Tiffany Thomas. I’m a Christian homeschooling mama of two boys. I’ve been in various childcare focused positions for over a decade. My passion for children was fueled from age seven. I knew as a child I wanted to homeschool. I wanted to take responsibility for my children’s learning, character and emotional development as well as bonding through experiences together. I didn’t want to reach elderly age saying, “I wish I had spent more time with my family”.

 

Throughout my adult years, I’ve dedicated my time to advocating for children and caring for animals. Animals have proven to be therapeutic and often man's best friend. I believe in changing the world one child at a time. I care about the whole well being of a child rather than robotic performance. Children deserve respect and are capable of more than often given credit for. It is always exciting when I have the pleasure of teaching children how to care for or train an animal. Not only are they able to develop a stronger bond in the process, they also learn empathy, communication skills, responsibility and time management.

In college my passion was ignited further to pursue more child focused work. Through nannying I noticed common family needs and behavioral patterns in different ages. My free time was spent studying and observing child development and helping families by patiently connecting with the children to meet their needs and see healthy, happy growth. Gentleness, love and patience are great first steps for every child to thrive. In Colorado I started Tiff Tots and Tails as a way of setting higher standards in child and pet care services.
